Updates...

Just some Addi updates...Addison is very much into puzzles now and loves Mickey Mouse. Every morning she wakes up and says "mouse mamma" so we watch Mickey before leaving that morning. She now repeats everything said and even complete phrases. The other day she told grandma "love you too". I am amazed at how quickly she learns and remembers things. She’s always saying “there ya go” or “where’d it go”, “there you are”. There's no getting things by her that's for sure. We've had to try a few Supernanny techniques but luckily it goes well. She understands time out and is back to sleeping peacefully in her bed...big girl bed now. For a while we had a time trying to figure out why she wasn't sleeping like she used too. Now she loves the new bed and is off to sleep at 8:00 p.m. Our vacation went very well. It was a long drive but Addison didn't complain much, thankfully. She was a real trooper and really enjoyed the rides at the North Pole. We're glad we got to fit a real vacation in before Scottie begins shutdown at the plant. This summer has just been crazy for us as I'm sure most everyone. I hate to see summer go. We've had a lot of fun!

Rides at the North Pole

Addison's 1st Vacation

We made our trip to Colorado Springs last Wednesday. We started out by going to Seven Falls. Daddy did really well hauling Addison up the scary stairs.

She really enjoyed playing in the teepee

Ironically, a nice couple from Rockport, MO was visiting also and graciously took our picture.

Apparently there was a Santa Convention going on and some of the Santa's and Mrs. Clauses were staying at our motel so we just had to get a photo. They just loved Addison and gave her an early Christmas gift!

The second day we stopped at the Bear Park Nature Center and hiked a few short trails to find some bears...no such luck though.

We stopped at the GhostTown Museum to pan for gold.

And of course we had to take Addison to the North Pole. She loved going on the rides! We were amazed!

Late afternoon we made the drive up Pikes Peak.
The next day we went to Garden of the Gods where Addison enjoyed playing on the red rocks.

This photo is one of my faves with Addison and Daddy!

We also visited Cave of the Winds and played in the creek a bit. And of course, we had to sport the Husker jersey on game day! All-in-all we had a fun time. It was a lot of driving but a great first vacation!
